Background
For the past three decades, Peggy has worked in the non-profit sector, first as a supervisor and Clinical Director at the South Bay Center for Counseling in El Segundo, CA and later as Senior Director of Integrated Clinical Services & Quality Management at Jewish Family Service of Los Angeles. A key focus of her recent work has been Care Coordination in community-based systems with the goal of improving access to responsive, interculturally designed mental health treatment and human services.
Concurrently, Peggy maintained a private practice in the South Bay of Los Angeles and West Los Angeles, CA.
Peggy’s early training and experience in the mental health field were in her roles as social worker and probation officer in Israel. Her work introduced her to vastly diverse populations in that part of the world and through that experience, Peggy developed a particular interest in the relationships among Law & Ethics, social justice, and human services. Since 1996, Peggy has designed and taught courses on Legal & Ethical Aspects of Counseling, Practicum, and Clinical Supervision in a variety of university and professional settings. She has also provided consultation services and continuing education courses in these and other related subject areas.
An AAMFT Clinical Fellow and Approved Supervisor and CAMFT Clinical Member and Certified Supervisor, Peggy is a past recipient of the Clinton B.
